I’m a front-end developer, more specifically a front-end headless developer. It can be hard to give an exact definition, but essentially, my role is about presenting data from a CMS on visually appealing and accessible websites. I love adding that final touch to projects, thinking outside the box, and working with animations and motion. It’s also great to bring in my UX experience to elevate my front-end skills.
Every day is a little different. I enjoy working at our Antwerp office with my colleagues, but I also value the flexibility to work from home. In fact, I even worked remotely from Canada for two weeks, which was a great experience.
I don’t attend too many meetings — mainly stand-ups to discuss progress on various projects. I like to focus on front-end development and be as efficient as possible.

I studied Devine in Kortrijk. I initially started as a UI designer, where I brought my creative ideas to life. I also explored motion and 3d design, which led me to learn coding and eventually focus more on front-end development, which seemed to be a better fit for me.
I started out as a motion designer at a small company called Spaced, but the projects didn’t really excite me. After that, I moved into front-end development at Purple Panda, where I started working with Next.js. That experience set me on a path to Kinsmen, which later became Wieni.
How do you get in contact with Wieni?
I knew someone who was working for Craftzing, the parent company of Kinsmen. They introduced me to the Kinsmen, Wietse and Mathias, and it was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. Later, when Kinsmen merged with Wieni, it was exciting to be part of that journey.
What do you like about Wieni?
Wieni has a unique approach to work, with philosophies and ideas that align well with the projects they take on. Their views on remote work, for instance, are well thought-out and work for our team in ways that don’t always suit other companies.
I’m still learning all the ins and outs of their principles, but I find them really inspiring. While I haven’t yet led a project from start to finish — since I’ve been working primarily on legacy Kinsmen projects — I’m looking forward to diving into something new from scratch.
I’d describe myself as a cheerful, fun-loving person with a passion for cooking and craft beer. Cooking has been a hobby of mine since I was 16, inspired by countless hours on YouTube. I love trying out new recipes at home. My dishes aren’t always fancy, but they’re definitely tasty.
I also have a pizza oven and a particular interest in Italian cuisine, which I think is amazing. Sometimes, I’ll host dinners at my place or go out for a special meal with friends.
I used to enjoy eating meat, but since my girlfriend is vegan, I decided to make the switch too. I'm working on learning more about vegan cuisine, which has been a bit challenging — I feel like vegetarian cooking is a bit easier.
I work at a craft beer café called “Ernst.” I’d like to learn more about wine, especially natural wines, but I’ve realized that craft beer is really my passion. I enjoy visiting breweries to dive deeper into the technical side of brewing. I haven't tried brewing yet, but it's definitely something that interests me. It seems like a rewarding hobby, but it also requires a significant commitment. Maybe once I have more time to dedicate to it, I'll give it a shot. For now, I'm content to enjoy the creations of other talented brewers.
I love to travel and plan new adventures to different countries, though I prefer to go with friends or family rather than traveling solo. In 2024 I went to Canada where I enjoyed some snowboarding. Early in 2025, I’m planning a trip to Southeast Asia, and I also hope to visit Australia and South America soon. My dream destination is Mexico — I think it’s an incredibly beautiful country with amazing cuisine.
I have a twin brother, but we don’t look alike that much.
